There are actually ways to make a point with someone without resorting to threatening them or any other "wah, I keel you" methods.

Oh. Also, insulting them or being rude and petty isn't quite the way to go about it either. It just makes you come across as unsympathetic more than anything else.

I know all this might be utterly mystifying a concept to a few souls out there, so in the light of this, the first seminar on "Communication & Making it in the Music Biz" will be ready soon.

Some of you might consider signing up if you weren't before.

Is this going to be one of the summer courses? 'Cause I would sign up, but I probably should do make-up classes, and Ms. Braddock was talking cryptically about something that sounded like it'd take up quite a lot of time...

When do I have to sign up by? If I have enough time, I totally will.

They'll be interlinked seminars that you can still take on a one to one basis depending on your interest in the topic being covered. Some will be longer and some shorter depending on the time required, or last over two seminars if needed. They'll take place during the weekends or evenings and I'm sure something can be arranged with the rest of the staff if you take particular interest in one of them.

If a topic is of interests to students still after a seminar, I'll either provide a more in depth view of the matter at a later time or bring in an expert as needed.

I'll post a notice when it's time for formal sign-ups.

Yep - I can't be deafened, essentially. I know the sound is loud, but it doesn't register the same to me like others (kinda like Teresa can't be deafened by her own screams). It's just a nice power boost the stronger it gets, though I have to be careful not to leak light when it gets really loud (er, way over normal sounds experimenting blowing up windows kinda loud, mind).

Yep. Downsides too. I go full out until I'm "dry", I tend to keel over. Not fun. Being sound dependant is, well, annoying too. Especially since I can't use my own voice to power myself - that's the one thing I get zip all with...

Well, a lot of powers work on the "need external or internal fuel source else you get the power of a retarded ant" principle, be it physical or mentally wise.

It's one of the reasons I think the whole homo superior thing is a load of bull. Sure, we have something extra if you will. But we're hardly superior. Same old human emotions and mental reasoning (or lack thereof) are involved, bottom line. :p

See, I never bought into the mutant superiority crap. Mainly because I know plenty of 'ordinary' humans who can hand me arse to me magically without even trying. Power by itself don't change who you are or how you react, just means you probably should think about things before you do 'em. Which I learned the hard way, but hey, the lesson must be starting to stick. Go me.
